Accessibility statement.
We want our website and our shop to be useful and welcoming to every person who comes to us, including people with disabilities. Last updated: April 2026.
Our Commitment
Guns and Glory is committed to making our website and physical shop accessible to people with disabilities, in line with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.
We're a small, family-run business. We don't have an in-house accessibility team — but we genuinely care about welcoming everyone who walks through our door or visits this site, and we're always working to improve.
Website Accessibility
This website has been built with the following accessibility features in mind:
- Semantic HTML structure with clear headings and landmarks for screen readers;
- Skip-to-content links so keyboard users can bypass repeated navigation;
- Visible keyboard focus indicators on all interactive elements;
- Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images;
- Color contrast levels that meet or exceed WCAG 2.1 AA requirements;
- Forms with clearly labeled fields and accessible error messaging;
- Responsive design that works on phones, tablets, and desktops;
- Respect for the user's "reduced motion" preferences — animations are minimized for visitors who request it through their operating system or browser settings.
In the Shop
Our building is over 100 years old, and we've done our best to balance preserving its character with making it usable for as many visitors as possible. If you have specific accessibility needs for an in-person visit — for example, you'd like us to bring items out front, schedule a quieter time, or accommodate a service animal — please call ahead and we'll do everything we reasonably can to help.
Need Help? Tell Us.
If you run into trouble using this website, or you encounter content that isn't accessible to you, please let us know. We'll do our best to provide the information you need in a format that works for you, and to fix the underlying issue on our end.
Easiest ways to reach us:
- Phone: 309-962-9143 — a real person on the other end during shop hours.
- Web form: Use our contact form — please mention "accessibility" in the subject so we can prioritize your message.
When you reach out, it helps if you can tell us:
- The page or content you were trying to use;
- What was difficult about it;
- The device, browser, and assistive technology (if any) you were using.
Ongoing Improvements
Accessibility isn't something we treat as finished. As we update content and improve the site, we test for accessibility issues and address what we find. We welcome suggestions and feedback from anyone who uses assistive technology — your input is what makes this site better.
Third-Party Content
This site may include links to or content from third-party websites and services. We aren't able to control the accessibility of content we don't own. If you encounter trouble with a third-party resource we link to, please let us know and we'll either help you find an accessible alternative or contact the third party on your behalf.
